Frances Chastain Garner
Frances Chastain Garner 63, of Tennga, GA, died April 25, 2002. Mrs. Garner was born April 1, 1939, in Floyd County, GA. She was the daughter of the late Byrd and Frony Serritt Chastain. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lamar Garner; son, Charles Garner; brothers, C. W. and Joe Chastain. Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Garner and John and Susan Garner, of Chatsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and James Henry of Tennga; grandchildren, Francis, Tammy, Jonnie, Amy, Melissa, Tammy Ann and Michael Garner; great-grandchild, Dillion; special aunt, Louise Morgan; special friend, Jerry Haney. Services were April 28, 2002 from the chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with the Rev. Ellis Chastain officiating. Burial was in the Dunagan Cemetery in Whitfield County. Arrangements are by Ponders Funeral Home of Dalton, GA.
