Mrs. Rosa Elrod Passes Today
Mrs. Rosa Elrod, 66, of Rome Route 1, who had been a resident of Floyd County since childhood died at 9:15 a.m. today in a local hospital.
Mrs. Elrod was born in Haralson County, the daughter of the late W.N. and Martha Ann Adams Willis. She was a member of the Armuchee Methodist Church.
Surviving are the husband, S. L. Elrod; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Bailey, of Armucheee; Mrs. J. P. Bridges of Rome, and Mrs. J. E. Stanford, of Atlanta;
two brothers, Jess C. Willis, of Rome and John Willis, of Armuchee. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral arrangements will be announced by
Jennings. Mar. 13: Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Elrod,66, of Rome Route 1, who died yesterday in a local hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at
Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, the Rev. W. F. Conn and the Rev. J.R. Baxter officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in
state at Jennings Chapel until time for the services. The following nephews will serve as pallbearers: Ben Proctor, W. F. Willis, Roscoe and Bert Elrod,
Herbert and Hershell Bailey.
