Mrs. Minnie L. Duncan's Services Are Today
Mrs. Minnie Lee Duncan age 61 passed away at her residence,18 Elizabeth St. at l:45 p.m. Friday. Although she had been in declining health for several months, her condition had been serious for only a week.
Mrs. Duncan was born in Rome, Oct. 17, 1896, daughter of the late Ross and Ann Surrett Ramsey, pioneer citizens of Floyd County. She had spent her entire life here and was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church. In 1911 she was married to John William (Bud) Duncan, who preceded her in death Jan. 2, 1958.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. H. W. Roper, Jr. and Mrs. W. H. Cadle, both of Rome; six grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services will be. held at 2:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. W. C. Ruchti, pastor of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church and the Rev. Roy Melton, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church officiating.
Interment will be in the family lot in Oaknoll Memory Gardens. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for services.
Pallbearers include A. P. Caldwell, J. C. Kerce, Kenneth Owens, Albert Tolbert, Eddie Burkhalter and E. C. Callan.
