Funeral Set Saturday For Mrs. Drummond
Funeral services for Mrs. Sallie Dodd Drummond, former Roman, who died Wednesday afternoon in an out-of-town hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in
the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with the Rev. H. Frank Barfield, pastor of North Rome Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in East View
Cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from Saturday morning until time for services.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers and include Charles Dent, Hugh, Neal and Bryan Jolly, Douglas and Darwin.
Mrs. Drummond had been a resident of Rome for more than 50 years but for the past several years had resided with her daughters in Florida. She was the
widow of Thomas Eugene Drummond, streetcar and bus driver for Georgia Power Company for 40 years. Mr. Drummond died Dec. 22, 1954.
