Death of W. C. Davis

News has reached Rome of the death in Richton, Miss., of W.C.Davis, formerly of Brice Station. For thirty years, Mr. Davis resided in this county and has many friends to regret his passing. He was born at Calhoun, Ga., in 1843 and removed to Floyd county in 1883. He was a veteran of the war between the states. Mr. Davis is survived by his widow, six sons and five daughters: G.B. and W.T. Davis of Anniston, Ala.; M.A. and H.H. Davis, of Richton, Miss.; C.J. Davis, of Hawkinsville; S.W. Davis, of Atlanta; Miss Mary Liddie Davis and Mrs. Chas. Modenn, of Richton, Miss.; Mrs. H.A. Danridge, of Camden, Texas; and Mrs W.P. Isaacs of Birmingham.
