Charles (Duke) Davis
Charles T. (Duke) Davis, 52, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., died Saturday in Ft. Lauderdale following an illness of two months.
Mr. Davis was born Sept. 9, 1920 in Rome, son of the late George B. Davis, Jrs. and willie Ann Myrphy (Murphy?) Davis.
He had lived in Ft. Lauderdale for the past 33 years.
Survivors include one brother George B. Davis, Jr., Mineral Wells, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Frances D. Barton, Rome and Mrs. Virginia Johnson, Miami, Fla; one cousin, Mrs. Mary Lalor, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in East View Cemetery, the Rev. Paul Loyd officiating.
The body will remain at Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
Jennings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
