Ola Bridges

Mrs. Ola Bridges, 78, of 519 LaPort St. died Monday in a Rome hospital following an illness of several months.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Floyd County, Oct. 15, 1890, daughter of the late William Newton Willis and Martha Ann Adams Willis and had resided here her entire life. She was a member of South Broad United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, James Pinkney Bridges, Nov. 1, 1933.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Carl Hill, Rome; a step-daughter, Mrs. Edna Cerretani, Rome; two step-sons, Herschel Bridges, Detroit, Mich. and Bob Bridges, Atlanta; one brother, Jesse C. Willis, Rome; one grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Marvin Brewer officiating. Interment will be in East View Cemetery.
The body will remain at the funeral home and the family will be at the residence, 519 LaPorte St.
Pallbearers include Benton Proctor, Herbert and Herschel Bailey, Spencer, David and Duran Willis.
