Mrs. Carrie Bell Satcher Branton, 87, Rome Rte 11 Mountain View Road, died at 4:35 p.m. Wednesday in a Rome nursing home following an illness of one and a half years.

Mrs. Branton
Mrs. Branton was born in Floyd County, Dec. 23, 1893, daughter of the late Sam and Seany Calloway Satcher and resided most of her life here. She was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and the Women's Adult Sunday School class. Her husband, Arthur Lee Branton, died Nov. 17, 1959.
Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Thelma) Turner, Rome, Mrs. Clarence (Addie) Moore, Adairsville, Mrs. Earl (Ethel) Taylor, Marietta and Mrs. J. B. (Evelyn) Bridges, Atlanta, six sons, Otis Branton, Cassville, Joe Branton and William Branton, both of Kingston, Louis Branton, Silver Creek, Ralph Branton, Cedartown and Eugene Branton, Rome; one sister, Mrs. Allie Ledbetter, Thomaston; 25 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday at Spring Creek Baptist Church with the Revs. Jacks Chandler and Howard Holcomb officiating.
Interment will be in Spring Creek Cemetery.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers and are Donald Satcher, Rufus Nichols, Hoyt Brandon, R. L. Fricks, Elmer Freeman and Albert Satcher.
