Rites Set Thursday For Mrs. Essie Bing

Mrs. Essie Vernell Bing, 74, of Wayside Road, Kingston Rte. 1, died at her residence at 7:40 a.m. today following an illness of several months. Her condition had been serious for two weeks.
Mrs. Bing was born in Floyd County Oct. 14, 1889, daughter of the late Columbus and Maggie Witcher Reeves and had spent her entire life in Floyd County and had been a member of Mizpah Methodist Church for 65 years. She was married to James Henry Bing Dec. 14, 1906, who died April 27, 1939.
Surviving are one son, C.H. Bing, of Kingston Rte. 1; one daughter, Mrs. Carl Yarbrough, Kingston Rte. 1; three brothers, T.C. Reeves, Kingston Rte. 1, L. G. Reeves, Rome Rte. 6 and H.S. Reeves, of Rome; one half-brother, Neil Adams, Atlanta, three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mizpah Methodist Church with the pastor, the Rev. James Mitchell, the Rev. Jack Smith of Kingston, and the Rev. Ellis Coward, pastor of Blue Pond Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery.
The body will be carried to the residence of a son, C.H. Bing, Wayside Road, Kingston Rte. 1, Wednesday afternoon to remain until the funeral hour and pallbearers include Roy Brown, Ralph Kerce, Sid McClain, John D. Brown, Rev. Russell Head and Joe Hazelwood. Jennings Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
