Mrs. Aycock
Mrs. Frances White Aycock, 89, formerly of Woods Road, died Monday in a Rome nursing home afte a lengthy illness.
She was a native of Paulding County. She was born Feb. 5, 1888, daughter of the late Asa Leonard and Sarah Gore White. She was married to Dolphus N. Aycock on Dec. 24, 1906. He died July 26, 1946. She was a member of Beech Creek United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Aycock and Roger Aycock, both of Rome; three daughters, Mrs. Frona Johnson and Mrs. Mary Blanton, both of Rome, and Mrs. Sue Corbett, Choteau, Mont.; one brother, Dave White, Birmingham, Ala; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Daniel's Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Smith officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley North Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Gary Pace, Dan Blanton, Ted Aycock, Tom Pilcher, J. C. Holder and Preston Rogers.
The body will lie in state at the funeral home and the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
