James Knox Polk Cole (1842 - 1927)

    This is a picture of James KP Cole of Hot House, Fannin Co, GA.  He owned a meat packing plant there next to the railroad at a place called Cole's Crossing.  He married Nancy Louisa Brock Feb 8, 1868.  They reared eight children in Fannin Co.  He was a notary public and a justice of the peace.
    James Cole was born Nov 24, 1842 in Murray Co GA to William Templeton Cole and Rachel Berry.  He died July 8, 1927.  The children of James and Louisa Cole are:
Martha Jane, Laura A, William D, Rachel A, Mary Alice, John T, Ida Depsey and Georgiann.  After "Louisy" died in 1896 he moved to Marble, Ga.
    He married 2nd Sarah Thurmond.  He and his wives are buried in Jerusalem Cemetery in Fannin Co among his many kin folks.
