SPIRES--William Thomas Spires, 83, died Sunday in a Jacksonville hospital following an extended illness. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Douglas, Ga. A native of Telfair County, Ga., he was the son of the late Thomas H. Spires. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kate O'Bright, of Jacksonville; Mrs. Dorothy Lott, of Douglas, Ga.; and Mrs. Emma
Sabinne, of Jacksonville; three sons, Lyman Spires, and Guy Spires, both of Jacksonville; and W.T. Spires, of Waycross; a brother, Carroll Spires, of Jacksonville; 19 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 10am Wednesday at Gentry-Shepard-Inman Funeral Home Chapel,
with Interment in Oakland Cemetery, in Waycross.

Mr. Paul Lester Duval, 76, of Summerville, died Dec. 23, 1983.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Thelma Duval; daughters Mrs. Lois Jean Denton, Douglasville, Mrs. Joyce Johnston; Washington D.C., brother John Duvall, Mayersdale, Pa., Russell Duvall, Dallas Tex. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Dec. 27 at 2 p.m. from the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Rev. Walter Sharp and Pastor John McVay officiating. Interment was in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Whitley-Garner Funeral Home of Douglasville was in charge of arrangements.

PAUL L. DUVALL was interred in the Sunrise Memorial
Gardens in the section of Love Lot 7-B space 1. Me. Duvall was 66 years of age according to our records."




Thelma Holden Duvall, 87, 568 Park Road, Stanley, died Thursday, February 4, 1999, at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
Mrs. Duvall ws born May 22, 1911, in Stanley, and was a daughter of the late Samuel Sylvester Price and Annie Alice Painter Price.

She was a practical nurse at a nursing home and a member of the Stanley Adventist Church.

Her husband, Paul Lester Duvall, preceded her in death.
Surviving are one daughter Joyce Johnson, Takoma Park, Md.: two sister, Alma P. Goode, Stanley, and Ella Mae Pohle, Winchester; one brother, Alfred Franklin Price, Florida; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and one greatgreat grandchild.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. today at the Stanley Adventist Church. Burial will be at a later date.
Arrangements are by the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Duvall were charter members of the Douglasville
Seventh-day Adventist Church.
