The marriage of Miss Lila Vaughn, daughter of Mr. J. B. Vaughn of this city, and Mr. Hiram Tanner of Fales, was solemnized at Nicholls Baptist Church last Sunday morning at ten o'clock in the presence of only a few intimate friends and relatives.
The occasion was characterized by beautiful simplicity and dignity.
The ceremony being performed by the Rev. J. D. Poindexter, pastor of the church.
The bride who is an unusually attractive young lady, was never more beautiful than on this occasion. She wore a lovely costume of rose and tan crepe, a smart hat of tan straw, an advance spring model, other accessories were of tan and the costume was complete with a handsome coat of tan.
Mrs. Tanner as Miss Vaughn is unusually charming and was one of Douglas' most popular young ladies.
Mr. Tanner is a young man of great ability and is very successful in business.
Immediately after the ceremony, Mr. and Mrs. Tanner left for Jacksonville, Miami, Daytona and other interesting points in Florida. They will be at home at Fales after Feb. 28.
