note: Louisa's children were fathered by John Treadwell, Jr. (January 22, 1804, Lithonia, Dekalb County Georgia - August 27, 1882, Conyers, Rockdale County, Georgia). Family legend is that she was only 12 - 13 years of age when her oldest son was born. This was a great embarrassment to the family and was never talked about openly until after her childrens' deaths. Even then there was very little said about this relationship. It is thought that her birth year was changed to make it appear she was older when her children were born.
