South Family Cemetery
|
Cemetery is located on East Fairview Rd. in Clayton County. It is about 1/2 mile above or before you get to Thurmond Rd. It sits barely off the road and is walled by rock and cement blocks. There are at least 8 to 10 unmarked graves in this cemetery. I named it the "South Family" as that is mostly what the marked graves are.
There are two (2) above ground concrete looking tombs without names. The last marked activity on this cemetery is 30 August 1907.
There is a Masonic Marker: Daylight Masonic Lodge #125 F & AM that has been erected in this cemetery. I will search and see if I might obtain information from the above marker and place it with this posting.
