ORDINANCE - COWS

Be it ordained by the Mayor and council of the town of Jackson, and it is hereby ordained by authority of the same, that from and after the passage of this ordinance any person or persons who shall keep a cow or cows in the corporate limits of said town shall not be allowed to tie in the street or streets of said town any cow or cows for the purpose of grazing or otherwise.  Any person or persons violating this ordinance, on conviction before the Mayor be fined in a sum not less than one nor more than ten dollars, or be confined in the calaboose not less than one nor more than twenty days one or both in the discretion of the Mayor.
