This indenture made this the ninth day of May in the year of our Lord, Eighteen Hundred and thirty nine between Nathan H. Williams of the one part and W. R. Bankston of the other part. Witnessseth that the said Nathan H. for and in consideration of the sum of sixty dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted, bargained and sold unto the said W. R. Bankston his heirs and assigns all the following description lots Nos. one two three and four (No.1,2,3 & 4) in square twenty three (23) in the town of Jackson in said county of Butts. Each lot containing one hundred and five feet square, more or less, to have and to hold the said bargain premises together with all and singular the right numbers and appetence (?) thereto belonging and the said Nathan H. Williams does by these presents warrant and forever defend the right and title thereof from him self his heirs and assigns and from all other persons to the said W. R. Bankston his heirs and forever in fee simple. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date first above mentioned.
