GEORGIA � Pike County

This indenture made this first day of December one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight between William Reeves of Butts County and state aforesaid of the one part and Reuben Bankston of Pike County and state of Georgia of the other part. Witnesseth that the said Wm. Reeves for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand paid a and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath granted bargained sold released and confirmed and by their presents do grant bargain release confirm unto the said Reuben Bankston his heirs and assigns all that parcel or track of land lying and being in the third district of formerly Monroe now Butts County know in the peace of said district � by number one hundred and forty four containing one hundred and a quarter acres be the same more or less it being the south half of said Lot. The dividing line being at a stake corner and the east line and running west to a stake corner and then west line___?___ then and the original line south to the original corner, thence east an the original line to the corner thence north to the beginning stake corner together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereof whatsoever __?__thereunto belonging to the said Reuben Banskton in fee simple to himself his heirs or assigns to his own proper use benefit and behoof against him the said Wm. Reeves his heirs and assigns and every other person or persons whatsoever shall and will warrant and forever defend by these presents in witness whereof the said Reeves has set his hand and approvals.
