This indenture made this the twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and thirty four between Alfred Bankston of the one
part and Edmund McDaniel of the other part, both of the County and State
aforesaid. witnesseth, that the said Alfred Bankston for and in consideration
of the sum of two hundred and twenty dollars in hand paid, the receipt whereof I
hereby acknowledged, hath granted bargained and sold to the said Edmund McDaniel
all the following described tract or undivided half of Lot no. 77 (Seventy
seven)now Butts county containing one hundred and one acres more or less. There
being a school house on said half lot and reserved to the use of a school so
long as said house stands, and then to go to the said McDaniel, said half lot
being the east half of the above described lot. To have and to hold with all
and singular the rightists members and appurtenances, and the said Alfred
Bankston, doth by these presents warrant and forever defend, the right and title
of said land, to the said Edmund McDaniel and his heirs and assigns and from all
other persons, forever in fee simple. In witness whereof the said Alfred
Bankston hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and date above written,
signed sealed and delivered in the presence of
