This indenture made and agreed to this first day of April one thousand eight
hundred and thirty eight between Abner Bankston of the one part and Isaac
Bankston of the other part both of Butts County. Witness the said Abner
Bankston for and in consideration of Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars, to him in
hand payed at or before the signing sealing and delivering of this presents the
receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained sold and do by these
presents bargain and convey unto the said Isaac Bankston his heirs or assigns
all that lot tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the fourth
district of Monroe, now Butts County containing one hundred and a half acres
more or less being the east half of Lots number (52) fifty two such
shops(shapes?) form and marks (apair -?) by a plat annexed to the grant to him
and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto him the said Isaac Bankston his
heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights members and
appearances thereunto in any manner belonging to his and their own proper use
benefit and behoof forever in few simple, and the said Abner Bankston for
himself heirs executors and administrators do warrant and forever defend the
right and titles against themselves and against the claims of all other persons
what ever.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this day and
year above ritten.
