This cemetery is in the Northern part of the county. It is extremely difficult to locate and would have not been possible without the directions written by Larry Knowles who surveyed earlier. The cemetery is in dense woods and not maintained at all. There may be at least 20, or more other unmarked graves. The inventory was not taken in row due to condition of site. This area is thought to be the first site of Sardis Baptist Church. Follow Ga highway 36 East, 7.4 miles to Winding Way. Turn left, 1.3 miles to Key Ferry and turn left. Follow this road 1.6 miles, to a dirt road on the left. Turn left and follow dirt road for .2 miles, to an old house. Turn right down an overgrown road, which may have been the old Keys Ferry Rd, for .1 miles to the top of a rise. The cemetery is due north, approximately 150 yards, in the woods.

Note: When we visited the cemetery, some of the grave stones were caved in and others looked as if they had been moved. One of the neighbors said that there used to be a large “Roberts Family Monument” that is no longer there. - Tonie
