Lindsey at Seven Islands Cemetery
Off Lamars Mill Road, Jackson Ga.
Surveyed: 7 June 1999Transcribed by
This Cemetery is thought to be the burial ground for the Seven Island community, which vanished soon after the Civil War. There are at least 100 graves found here but only 4 plainly marked and 3 partially marked. The boundaries are marked by St. Regis Paper Co. markers. The growth of trees within the area indicates that this area has not been disturbed since inception. Numerous field stone markers were noted as well as grave like indention's.
Take GA 16 East, 4.9 miles to Dave Bailey Rd. Turn right. Follow 2 miles to Giles Ferry Road, then left & right onto Lamar's Road & follow to gate. The Cemetery will be on right on private property.00-01
