Pg 44: 1809 Feb 6, John Powers, of Effingham Co., to Austin Shuffield, for $120. 1000 acres on s.side of Ogeechee River and on both sides of Black Creek, originally granted to John Powers by Jared Brown on Sept. 21, 1796, and recorded in the secretary’s office, book y.,y.,y.,y., p. 452, bounded on the n. by vacant, e. by Impassible Swamp and w. by LUKE MAN’S land, granted to John Powell. Denmark to Simeon Shuffield, of Bulloch Co., for $100. 335 acres in Bulloch Co on the s.side of the Ogeechee River, one tract originally granted to Ulrich Kroger, another granted to Sheppard Denmark and sold by him to John Geiger, the 3rd granted to Frederick Bester and sold to John Geiger, it being the late residence of John Geiger where his widow now lives, she, by Will, to hold it during her life and then to go to his daughter, Mary.  Wit: Isaac Smith Jennings, Peter Cone.  Rec’d. Pg 60: 1821 Feb 13, Burrel Slater to Jesse Goodman, planter, for $400.  “all them several tracks” of land containing 200 acres in two tracts, originally granted to John Thompson Dec 21, 1819, conveyed to Isom Shuffield 100 acres; 100 acres originally granted to Isom Shuffield on Mar 5, 1819 and conveyed by him to Burrel Slater on Sept 4, 1818, bounded e. by Shuffield’s land and vacant land, said tracts adjoining each other in the fork of Black Creek.  Wit: William Cone, Chas. Pg 62: 1823 Apr 1, Jesse Goodman to David Dugger, Sr., for $400. 500 acres in the fork of Black Creek, on the s.side, 200 acres being part of a 300 acre tract surveyed for John Shuffield and part of a 100 acre tract surveyed for John Lastinger, 100 acres originally granted to John Thompson, 100 acres to Isom Shuffield and 100 acres granted to Burrel Slater.  Wit: John Rodgers, John Abbott, Sr.  Rec’d: Aug 13, 1830.

 

Pg 104: 1830 Nov 2, Delilah Burnsides to Ephraim Driggers, for $230. 560 acres (except for 2 ¾ acres belonging to John Hoover) in the 47th district, bounded n. by John Hoover, e. by James Lastinger, s.e. by Allen Brown and s. by land surveyed by Isham Ellerbee, w. to within 40 yds. Of Irick Branch, this land given to her by her father, William Shuffield.  Wit: John Driggers, William Burnsides.  Rec’d. Nov 3, 1832.

 

Pg 105: 1832 Jan 3, Simeon Shuffield to William Shuffield, for $100. 335 acres lying on the Great Ogeechee River, originally granted to Stephen Denmark and a small part granted to Frederick Rester and after passing from one to another, a small part was sold to John Geiger (now dead).  Wit: Richard Lane, Peter Cone.  Rec’d. Nov 14, 1832.

 

Pg 115: 1832 Jan. 3, Sarah Geiger, guardian to William Shuffield, to Simeon Shuffield, for $200., four tracts of land on Ireck and Cow Branches, containing 550 acres.  One tract of 150 acres, granted to David Fisher, one of 100 acres granted to Austin Shuffield; 100 acres granted to Peter Dowles; 200 acres granted to Thomas Doles (sic..s/b Dowles), all lately belonging to Austin Shuffield, dec’d.
