Located in the City of Alma is a newly created park to honor Bacon County's veterans that have served in the wars of our
nation beginning with WW I, WW II, Korean, Vietnam, and the Persian Gulf wars, and also a wall to honor those that
served during peacetime.
Marble slabs have been erected with engraved names of all who served.
To top things off, a decommisioned army helicopter has been mounted approximately 30 feet in the air.
This is quite a touching tribute to Bacon County's home grown veterans.
