Mrs. Brenda Carol Thrift, 53, died suddenly Monday evening (August 2, 2004) at her residence.
She is a native of Bacon County, but she has lived in Waycross for the past 13 years. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Appling County. She painted houses for her son's company, Painting to Perfection.
She is the daughter of the late Stephen Clinton Bass.
She is survived by her two sons, Eric Olds (wife Sylvia) of Atlanta, and Sean Olds (wife Kelly) of Morgantown, WV; four grandchildren, Courtney, Summer, Dylan and Madison Olds; her mother, Opal Holton Bass Lamonds (husband Calvin) of Pierce County; three sisters, Peggy White (husband Richard) of Odum, Teresa Johnson (husband Steve) of Toccoa, and Debbie Hinson (husband Wayne) of Homerville; several nieces and nephews; and a devoted friend, Ted Courtney.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday (August 6, 2004) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Appling County. The family will receive friends 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
