Nora Jean Nail, age 53, of Baxley passed away Sunday
afternoon, May 8, 2005 in the Appling County Hospital
after an extended illness.
She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late
E.D. Taylor and Maybelle Holton. She was preceded in
death by three brothers, L.P., Bill and Nathan Taylor.
Nora was a member of Zoar Baptist Church in Baxley.
Survivors include her husband, J.W. Nail of Baxley;
three sons, Kenny Morgan and wife Denise of Alma,
Wesley Gilliard and wife Denise and Jeffery Morgan and
wife Jessica, all of Nicholls; two daughters, Gloria
Davis and husband Dewayne of Nicholls and Eloise Deen
and husband Anthony of Douglas; two brothers, Eddie
Lee Taylor of Alma and Roy Lee Taylor of Moultrie and
two sisters, Margaret Barber and Millie Taylor, both
of Alma.
Also nine grandchildren and one great grandchild
survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at
2 p.m. from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with
Rev. Jeff Waters, Rev. Billy Mac Dyal and Chris Nail
officiating. Interment followed at Wolf Pit Church
cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Johnny and Mike Taylor,
Charles Medders, Mike Hersey, Kevin Smith and Jamie
Altman. Honorary pallbearers were The Sort Team from
Coffee Correctional Facility.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
