Mary Sellers, 97, passed away on October 29, 2004 in
Jacksonville, FL.
She was born in Ludowici, GA., on
October 27, 1907 to Zeffie Lee Collins and Henry
Mallard Collins.
She married Leroy Sellers in 1922. They lived in Baxley, GA., where they had 2 children.
Her husband was killed in an auto accident in 1937.
She is preceded in death by her 2 children as well as
6 brothers and 1 sister.
Mary moved to Jacksonville in
1940. She is survived by 1 granddaughter, Janet (Dan)
Adams, Kokomo, In.; 2 grandsons, Michael McPherson,
Kissimmee, FL., Kevin (Laura) McPherson, Aurora, CO.;
1 sister, Ollie Smith, Jacksonville, FL.; 1 brother,
Johnny (Anita) Collins, Colquitt, GA.; 1
sister-in-law, Hilda Collins, Ludowici, GA.; 10 great
grandchildren, Stephanie Beard, David Green, Christi
Creitz, and Sara, Sean, Josh, Chris, Rebecca, Megan,
and Michelle McPherson; and 6 great great
grandchildren, Brittany, Aaron, and Kaylee Beard,
Jarrod Creitz, Kayla and Jordan Green. Mrs. Sellers is
also sur vived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at Swains Funeral Home
in Baxley, GA., Monday, November 8, Minister J. O.
McCleod officiating.
Viewing will be from 6 to 8 P.M.,
Tuesday, November 2, at Corey-Kerlin Funeral Home, 940
Cesery Blvd., Jacksonville.
