Also, Shelby Davis Griffin has let us know that she is a Civil War historian, and is willing to help any of you that may need help with research on a Civil War soldier.
She is also willing to do Census look-ups. She asks that
you be specific with your requests--such as, "Would you look-up Joseph Smith b Abt 1850?"
Instead of "Give me all the Smiths in Appling County."
And, Sharon Broward Davis has compiled an 8 volume series of Death Notices, and Obituaries for Appling County.
These volumes can also be purchased from Sharon. Sharon is willing to do look-ups for death notices or obituaries, she only asks that you not ask for all the 'Smiths', or whatever particular surname you are researching.
And Lourice Lott Merritt has a copy of the Atkinson County Cemetery Book and the Jeff Davis County Cemetery Book, and is willing to do look-ups in both of those.
Please help us give these women the special thanks they deserve.
