Lancaster County, Paradise, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Leacock Township,

Leacock Twp. in the Mill Creek Valley as early as 1756. He and his wife, Sidney,
died in 1778 and are buried here.
Ref: History of Lancaster Co. by Evans says Thomas Herbert, also distinguished
in the war, was a son, though he is not mentioned in the will. Jacob Herbert,
also not mentioned in the will was probably also a son. The family left the neighbohood
during or directly after the revolutionary war. Stewart Jr. lived in Washington
County, Maryland, in 1790, and in the same year, Moses was in Allegheny county,
Pa.

On Dec.31,1778, ninety-three acres of the Herbert farm, in Mill Creek Valley,
was sold to James Clemson, of Salisbry, the same having been patented to Stewart
