Charles Morgan (II) was a member of the Captain Benjamin Biggs Co. of the 7th Virginia Regiment of Foot commanded by Col. John Gibson. His signature is on the roll for the Company in April, 1782 at Fort Pitt.

Charles Morgan (II) is mentioned in the Diaries of Washington, October, 1770, Saturday, 20th -- "We embarked in a large canoe with sufficient store of provision and necessaries, and the following, Chs. Morgan and Danl. Reardon..." After the war, in 1795, George Washington entrusted Charles as manager of Washington's Ohio River properties.

Charles Morgan (II) is the father of Elizabeth Morgan, wife of William Foulks (1770-1832). Her last name was honored in later Foulks generations as a first or middle name of Foulks males. (All Foulks links to the Morgan lineage are through this marriage).

Charles Morgan (II) was the son of Simon Morgan, Sr. Another son of Simon Morgan, Sr., is Simon Morgan, Jr., Adjutant General of the State of Pennsylvania.

Charles Morgan, Sr., was the father of Simon Morgan, Sr. He was born in Richmond County, VA, Sept. 28, 1680, and died in Prince William County, VA, in 1766.

Charles Morgan, Sr., was the son of William Morgan, born ca 1595, who sailed to Virginia before 1624 and lived in Westmoreland County.
