Temple Beth-El Cemetery

This cemetery is located beween Q & R Streets in Pensacola. There is a main entrance on Cervantes Street and a rear entrance on Strong Street. (First Burial 1873?)

About halfway into the cemetery at the south edge of center circle and facing the Cervantes Street entrance is a large granite stone with a brass plate which reads:

A memorial to SAM GOLDBACH who in his generosity, presented to congregation
BETH-EL this beautiful spot, dedicated to the memory of those whose lifes journey
has ended and whose blessed names we revere Presented by: Sidney P. Levy

This cemetery was surveyed by the West Florida Genealogical Society (WFGS) about 1985, but has not been published. It was transcribed from the original survey and contributed to the Escambia County USGenWeb by Susan Patterson of Cushing, Oklahoma with permission of the WFGS Board of Directors.

Please send corrections or additions to Evan Strohl, WFGS Chairman, Cemetery Committee, or the Webmaster.
