This is an old cemetery. Many of the graves no longer have markers. It was estimated that there were over 100 unmarked graves. The oldest grave is dated 1862. In the 1980s, the point of contact for the cemetery was Adrian Hammond, (850) 476-0196.
Directions: From Pensacola, drive north on US 29 to Gonzalez and turn right on Kingsfield Road. Continue on Kingsfield Road, driving through the intersection at Old Palafox Hwy. (CR95A) and crossing the railroad tracks, for about 0.8 miles. The Jordan Cemetery is on the left.
The Jordan Cemetery was surveyed in the 1980s by members of the West Florida Genealogical Society (WFGS) and published in Volume One, Gravestone Registry, Escambia County, Fla. It was transcribed from original records by WFGS member and former webmaster, Ginny Deagan and posted on the Escambia County USGenWeb with permission of the WFGS Board of Directors.
