Hickory Hill School

I don't know for sure but I think this school was probably in Washington County. What is now Orange Hill was once known as Hickory Hill and, prior to the War Between the States, was the site of a popular Male and Female Academy. After the war, the academy closed but the building was used as a school for many years.

The site, if this is the same school, was on the grounds of today's Orange Hill United Methodist Church.
