The Archives Center is located on the ground floor of the 1914 Plant City High School. There is ample free parking in short walking distance to downtown Plant City. The Archive Center is about 25 driving miles distance from the old Courthouse in Dade City or 16 miles from the Zephyrhills City Hall.

The Archives Center contains holdings of several thousand books, family, historical, genealogical and photographic files, periodicals, newspapers, census, and records on microfilm and a large CD database.

To highlight part of the collection:
There is a large collection of texts on Florida history and genealogy, but there are also collections on the other states and many foreign countries. There is a large collection of family histories. In addition, there is a large collection of journals and periodicals from genealogical and historical societies all over the country. The census microfilms are mostly of Alabama, Florida and Georgia. On microfiche there is the Florida Death Index and old issues of the Plant City Courier.

The Archives are not indexed on a computer.

Traveling south on US-301 take the SR-39 fork that is just south of Zephyrhills.
Drive SR-39 to Plant City, go passed I-4 (in town SR-39 is called Wheeler St.)
On Wheeler (SR-39) the road will slowly rise and signs will indicate that you are in "Historic Plant City." At the top of this rise is Calhoun Avenue on the left and you will need to turn onto Calhoun.
After 2 blocks on the right you will come to Collins St.
Turn right onto Collins and after three blocks you will find the old Plant City High School on the right.
There is parking on the north side of the building.
The entrance to the Archives Center is to the right of the base of the front steps on the ground floor.
