Indian River Genealogical Society. The Indian River County Main Library has all of the holdings of the society. When the new library was built in 1991 and taken over by the County, a room with over 1000 square feet was designated for the Florida History & Genealogy Department, providing over 4000 square feet since the remodeling of 2002.

Library of Congress - the most well-developed historical and informational government website in the US. - an impressive collection of stories from the 1930s. These manuscripts are part of the American Memory Collection at the Library of Congress and can accessed at http://lcweb2.loc.gov/ammem/wpaintro/wpahome.html.
National Union Catalog of Manuscript Collections (NUCMC)
National Archives and Records Administration (NARA)
Bureau of Land Management (BLM), General Land Office (GLO) Records Automation Website - provides live database and image access to more than two million Federal land title records for the Eastern Public Land States dating back to 1820. These records can be accessed at http://www.glorecords.blm.gov. Although the definition for "Eastern Public Land State" isn't provided, the states included are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Indiana, Louisana, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin. This site is rather amazing in that it is free, easy to access, contains valuable information, and is run by the Government.

New Brunswick Genealogy - searchable online data of New Brunswick genealogy and history.

Allen County Library in Fort Wayne, IN; highlights the immense collection of research materials housed in the second largest genealogical library in the U.S.
American Colonists Library - primary source documents pertaining to early American history
England/Wales VRs - transcribed birth, marriage, and death records from England and Wales (1837-1900); a busy, slow site, but well worth the wait
Ancestor's Attic - passenger lists, information, birth calculator, immigration, and much more.
inGeneas Database - contains Canadian passenger, immigration, census, vital statistic (birth, marriage and death), land, military and miscellaneous records from the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Immigrant Ships Transcribers Guild - The ISTG supports on ongoing project in which volunteers transcribe lists of arrivals to America. Search options are by date, ship name, captain's name, port of departure, port of arrival, etc.
The Ellis Island Foundation Project - Reconnect with your own immigrant heritage and discover ways to honor your family for posterity on The American Immigrant Wall of Honor® and research your family's arrival in America at The American Family Immigration History Center™.
Sites with Genealogical Source Material - Alan Tupman has created this resource as an alternative to the majority of genealogy sites by bringing genealogists and data closer together with a minimum of ads, images, and ego. One of the site's most tempting resources is the list of links to over 100 ship passenger lists that are organized chronologically and by country of arrival. Lists of passengers from Ireland to the US are particularly abundant, and have their own separate list.

The Ship "Mary and John" Clearing House - Since 1986, the Mary and John Clearing House has grown into the most complete Mary and John 1630 passenger list collection available.

Caleb Johnson's Mayflower Page - the most complete Internet site for Mayflower history and genealogy. Contains an extensive collection of valuable historical and genealogical data about the Mayflower, as well as online databases of Mayflower pilgrims. Not exactly a lineage society page, but absolutely one of the greatest sources of Mayflower information.

US Civil War Center at Louisiana State University - a clearninghouse for all sorts of information about the Civil War; more than 4500 records to units, battlefields, lifestyles, cemeteries, historic parks, etc. Also provides many links of interest to Civil War researchers, as well as a section dealing with researching the lives of individuals who lived in the Civil War era.
Texas State Library Genealogy Collection - primarily outlines the genealogical collection of the Texas State Library; however, the site also contains an online searchable index to some 54,000 Confederate pension applications.

Cyndi's List Cyndi's index to genealogically-related sites is the largest on the Internet She has identified many meaningful and useful sites in over 70 separate categories. The list is always growing and is one of the most current and regularly updated sites available. You'll find categories for all 50 US states as well as Canadian provinces and foreign locales, personal home pages, records types, various ethnic and religious groups, and categories for several special topics of genealogical interest.
Ancestry.com - From humble beginnings in early 1996, this site has grown to become one of the largest storehouses of genealogical data on the Internet. Contains a huge collection of online, searchable genealogical databases, Social Security Death Master File, Periodical Source Index (PERSI), a Geographic Reference Library, and several other collections, as well as in-depth "how to" articles, and a free daily e-mail newsletter. Most databases are available to search for free for a specific time period, afterwhich individuals can subscribe for a monthly fee.
