ABOUT IMPRINTS
IMPRINTS is the genealogical publication of the Genealogical
Society of Broward County Florida. In 2006, we celebrated the 25th year
of publication with our Silver Anniversary Edition. IMPRINTS is indexed
by the Allen County Indiana Public Library Periodical Source Index
(PERSI), and information about past issues may be located on a CD
available at public libraries.
Due to a change in the Imprints staff and a debilitating hurricane
season, we published just two 2005 editions of Imprints. However, the
number of pages was expanded and included content equal to our previous
publications of 4 per year. In 2006, we published only one edition, our
25th Anniversary Edition of IMPRINTS.
Effective January 1, 2007, we have temporarily discontinued
publication. We do have previous issues available for ordering: one
year orders may be purchased at $15.00 a year and individual issues may
be purchased for $5 (or by mail $8). Past issues of IMPRINTS have been
INDEXED to be used as a guide in ordering back issues or
requesting research services.
We are also still seeking articles of genealogical interest, both of
general interest and of Broward County for our members "QUARTERLY
NEWSLETTER".
Books donated to the Society by the author/compiler were listed in
IMPRINTS, then placed In the GSBC Collection at the Alvin Sherman
Library at Nova Southeastern University for the use of members and the
public. We apologize that due to the increase in donations, we are
unable to review all books. We would like to thank all of our
book/periodical contributors and especially for the resources which
came to us through estate bequests. Books donated to the Society by the
owner /estate are placed in the GSBC Collection at the Alvin
Sherman Library.
