Bradford County Contact Information

Currently I am seeking an Assistant County Coordinator. It is not necessary to reside in Bradford County to be the Asst Coordinator, however it is necessary that you have ties to the county. You would be responsible for helping to maintain the website so HTML editing skills are necesary! Asst County Coordinators are required to fill out an application to become a member of The FLGenWeb Project. If you are interested in becoming the Asst. County Coordinator for Baker County, please contact the County Coordinator.

I am also seeking a few people who are interested in being Local Assistants, it is necessary that Local Assistants reside in Bradford County and that they are familiar with the resources available for researchers. Ideally a Local Assistant would help with Look-Up Requests, coordinate teams to transcribe and photograph tombstones. No web editing skills are necessary, but a spreadsheet program is a plus for Cemetery Transcriptions. Local Assistants would also transcribe and/or photograph documents for placement on the website. If you are interested in becoming a Bradford County Local Assistant, please contact the County Coordinator.

Please visit our Volunteers Page for more detailed information about how you can help to make this site a better place for our visitors to find what they need for their Genealogical or Historical Research.

NEEDED

When contacting a County or State Coordinator about this or any FLGenWeb website, please allow 2-3 weeks for a reply. All members of the FLGenWeb are volunteers and may not be able to respond immediately.

Please do not send county or state coordinators look-up requests. While we enjoy providing you with able look-up volunteers we regret that we personally do not have the time at our disposal to perform such requests. Please visit our Look Ups page to find a volunteer performing the type of look up you require.

If you wish to donate an item to the website, please do not send the item until you have corresponded with the coordinator and arrangements have been made for the transfer.

Testimonials

We would like to thank the former County Coordinator Jim Powell, Jr. for all the hard work and the data that he placed on this website. Jim Powell was the first County Coordinator for Bradford County from 1996 to 2008. He left me with tremendous shoes to fill.

Jim, as an employee of the Alachua County Clerk is responsible for coordinating the effort to use volunteers to index, extract and transcribe all the Alachua County Clerk's old records and place them online to facilitate genealogical and historical research. He has won many awards, the most recent from the Florida State Genealogical Society for those efforts! It was certainly well deserved. THANK YOU JIM!
