STANDING
RULES
- Regular meetings and
workshops shall be held on the second Monday of the month at
the Central Brevard Library in Cocoa, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
In the event of the closure of the library on that day or if
a room is not available, the membership shall be notified of
the new date or place.
- The regular meeting shall
consist of a business meeting and a program.
- Workshops shall be held
during the months of June, July and August.
- Light refreshments may
be served at the meetings.
- Board meetings shall
be held on the first Monday of the month from September through
May at the Central Brevard Library in Cocoa, beginning at 9:30
a.m. In the event of the closure of the library on that day,
the meeting shall be held at a time, day or place convenient
to a majority of its members.
- Board members unable
to attend a business or board meeting shall notify the President
or acting President.
- A member may request
that the Society purchase a book for the genealogical library
by offering to pay one-half of the total cost. The Society's
Librarian shall decide if the purchase is in the best interest
of the membership and the library's focus.
- Passwords for all the
Brevard Genealogical Society websites shall be provided to the
Officers for use in case of emergency, and to others as approved
by the President and Webmaster. The Webmaster shall email copies
of all billing correspondence to the Treasurer and President.
Electronic Groups and Mailing Lists shall have assistant administrators
appointed by the Webmaster, subject to approval by the President.
