Claude Mobley Gets $100 Reward
Claude Mobley, operator of the Jacksonville Traction Company, Yesterday
was paid a $100 reward by the company for aiding in the capture of a
robber, who attempted to hold up a street car several weeks ago.
Mobley aided in the arrest of Robert S. Blake, who held him up May 20
near the end of the Brentwood line. Mobley was shot through the finger
in attempting to prevent the holdup by Blake, who was shot in the arm by
the same bullet.
Blake was arrested when he sought medical attention and is now serving
an 11 years sentence in the state prison. --- Florida Times-Union, 17th.
