Big Mouth Bass caught in St. Mary's River

It's a 14 pound 14 ounce Big Mouth Bass that is being held by A.J. Mobley, caught from the St. Mary's River only a few miles from Macclenny, Saturday morning the 26th of March. The big 'un was caught on a rod and reel by Mr Mobley using a pike minnow.
The big Bass was brought into Macclenny about 5 O'Clock some 7 hours after being caught by the fisherman.
The Bass was 29 inches long, 10 1/2 inches in the girth and the mouth was 6 inches across.
Witnessing the weighing of the Bass and certifying to its weight beside the lucky piscatorial artist was G.S. Chisholm, Mrs. Jesse Johns, Mrs. Lillie Mobley, J.C. Tyson, Ray Dinkins, R.J. Davis and others.
Mr. Mobley stated that this fish was the only rise that he had during the day.

Claude Mobley Gets $100 Reward

Claude Mobley, operator of the Jacksonville Traction Company, Yesterday was paid a $100 reward by the company for aiding in the capture of a robber, who attempted to hold up a street car several weeks ago.

Mobley aided in the arrest of Robert S. Blake, who held him up May 20 near the end of the Brentwood line. Mobley was shot through the finger in attempting to prevent the holdup by Blake, who was shot in the arm by the same bullet.

Blake was arrested when he sought medical attention and is now serving an 11 years sentence in the state prison. --- Florida Times-Union, 17th.
