This picture is of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Sandhurst, Ontario. It is right on Highway 33 that runs through the middle of the Village. It is a small Village of approximately 200 and it is a very pretty area on Hay Bay.
F2
This picture is of the rear of the church taken from the back of the graveyard. The Fitchett graves are at the far right of the graveyard in this picture.

F4
Plaque in front of St. Paul's giving some of the history of the Church.

Gravestones of James and Catherine Fitchett. Info on gravestones read as follows: James Fitchett d. Feb. 2, 1859 and Elizabeth Fitchett d. Dec. 3, 1851. As you can see, they are in poor shape due to weather and time.

On to Roslin. This is picture of St. Paul's Anglican Church in Roslin. It is on a side-road off Highway 37 that runs through the middle of Roslin. Roslin is a village of approx. 100 people.

This picture is a Fitchett marker that appears to have been broken and then, in later years, cemented into a brick wall along with a couple of other markers. It was difficult to make out the wording, but I think it was the original marker for David Fitchett.

This is a group of three Fitchett gravestones. The one on the far right is for Ellison Fitchett, wife of David Fitchett, and is probably the original gravestone. The one on the far left appears to be a new stone put up in memory of David Fitchett and the one in the middle appears to be a newer stone, as well, in memory of Ellison Fitchett. The dates on the old markers vs. the new stones don't coincide, e.g. new marker for Ellison shows she died Oct. 27, 1837 or 1887 (not sure). The new marker for David shows b. Aug. 14, 1856 and d. Mar. 18, 1901. Very confusing ... maybe there were two David Fitchett's

This gravestone is for Catherine Fitchett, wife of James Holbert, d. Nov. 16, 1887, 80 yrs. The other side of this stone shows James Holbert, d. Aug. 9, 1871, 74 yrs.

This is fairly new gravestone for Alexander Fitchett, 1835 - 1922 and his wife, Mary E. Holbert, 1846 - 1932 and Bertha Fitchett, wife of Reg Bulteel, 1878 - 1962. This Bertha Bulteel is the one you asked about and we had no idea who she was. This gravestone is in excellent shape, but I guess because it is a light pink, the engraving didn't show up on such a bright, sunny day.

The last gravestone is for Phoebe Morton, wife of Robert Holbert, 1841 - 1924; Robert Holbert d. Feb. 23. 1892, 43 yrs, 5 mos & 4 days; Sarah Holbert 1874 - 1922 and William T. Holbert 1878 - 1955. I think Ethel is buried there as well, but if she is her name was never added to the gravestone.

These last three shots are pictures of the original homestead of James and Catherine (Fitchett) Holbert. It is about a mile west of the Church in Roslin, on the same sideroad. The two-story part was the original brick home. The current owners have done a lot of renovating and added a kitchen and family room to it. It is now a very pretty country home.

The last six pictures were taken on Good Friday while there was still snow on the ground. It was a very dull day and they didn't turn out very good. but I'll pass them on to you anyway in case there is some information on them that is of use to you.
