E. A. Walling Memorabilia

Karen Michaelis found Judge Walling's graduation diploma, after having completed the prescribed Scientific Course of Study, granted in 1875 when he was 21 by the Lake Shore Seminary. Even though he was 21 then, the Seminary seems to have been more like a high school than a college, since one of the eight courses of study there was called College Preparatory. It's currently in the hands of the North East Historical Society, P. O. Box 483, North East PA 16428, on Vine St. there in an old firehouse converted into a museum which is run by Dick Tefft.
