This is the line of William Hagar Fay. The original line descending from William's son Alfred was contributed by Jennifer Fay Batkins; the remainder of the tree started with census research, continued to the listings at LDS, and was further checked by census work. The work of Peggy Seidler on the line of William 1882 was a valuable source. There were some whom it proved impossible to track; George Ludlow, for example, and Edgar, Newton and Charles Mead. The Mead family used both "Mead" and "Meade," and there is pretty clear evidence that Betsey's husband used both "Truman" and "Thomas." Martha could not be followed; LDS gives her husband's name just with initials, and I could not be sure which of the Jones it was who married Martha. |
