He was a teacher and a farmer.
He died on July 5, 1876 in Middletown, CT, and was buried in
Westfield Cemetery.
He was married to Martha Augusta CLARK (daughter of Timothy CLARK
and Sarah or Sally DOWD)
on February 16, 1834 in Middletown, CT, by Stephen Topliff.
Martha Augusta CLARK11 was born on February 26, 1814 in
Westfield District, Middletown, CT. She died on August 17, 1900 in Middletown, CT, and was buried on August 18, 1900 in Westfield Burying Ground,
Westfield, CT, Miner Cemetery.12
Dr Laurence signed death certificate, and the Minister was the Rev. Mr. Hubbard.

couple wanted them to be married when the apple trees were in bloom,
