Mrs. Harriet E. Fay passed away Saturday p.m. at her son's, Lorimer E. Fay's, where she has made her home for the past few years. The funeral was held at the Advent Chapel Monday at 2 o'clock, Elder John Perkins officiating; George A. Danforth, manager. Hymns were sung by the Advent choir. The bearers were four of the sons, Charles H., Ulysses G., Elwin E. and Averil S. Fay. The remains were placed in the Baptist Cemetery beside her husband in the family lot. She was born in Marlboro, Mass., April 8, 1836, and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Temple. She leaves eight children to mourn her loss, two daughters, Mrs. Hattie E. Morse [sic] of Haverhill, Mass., and Mrs. Sarah E. Boyce of Londonderry; six sons, Charles H., Lorimer E. and Ulysses G. Fay of Danbury; Averil S., Elwin E. and Irvin E. Fay of Derry. Eighteen granchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. The flowers included a pillow "Mother" from the children.
Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Fay of Belmont; Mrs. Maud Dudley, East Grafton, and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hutchinson of Hanover attended their grandmother's funeral, Mrs. Harriet E. Fay, Monday.
