1st son of Horace Daniel and Annie (True) Fay. Born in Upton, Mass. 10-14-1922.

He was educated in the Upton public schools, graduated from Upton High School June 1940, graduated from Worcester Trade School in 1942 as a pattern maker.

He worked a short time at Whitins Machine Works before entering the U. S. Army Feb. 12, 1943. Army Serial #31297161.
|
|
After basic and motor pool training at Fort San Houston, Texas, he was assigned to the 503 Mounted Police Batallion.
|
|
He was promoted to Corporal and served as prisoner of war detail between Africa and the U.S..
|
|
He served overseas in Casablanca, Africa, England, France and Germany attached to the 3rd Army under the command of Gen. George S. Patton, Jr.. He was promoted to Battalion Motor Sergeant. Honorably discharged Dec. 1, 1945.

After a short trip through the south, he went into the Pattern Department of the Morgan Construction Co. of Worcester, Mass. where he has a position at the present time.

He is a highly skilled craftsman.
|
|
While in the Army at Fort Sam Houston in Texas he was married by the chaplain Jan. 1, 1944 to Louisa Elizabeth Brown, daughter of William and Grace Brown of 11 Vine Street, Milford, Mass. They have the following issue:
