Mehitable was the sister of David Fay of Southborough. She married Eli Chamberlain (1789 - 1857) of Southborough on February 4, 1801 (intentions)(Mehitable is called 'Mitte'). The marriage is recorded in Westborough for March 3, and Mehitable is called "Mittee"; both Mittee and Eli are said to be 'of Southborough'. The births of their children are recorded at Southborough.
In 1850, Mitty was a widow, living with her married daughter Lois in Upton. She is said to be 67, which would place her birth in 1783.
Mehitable's birth to David and Jane is not recorded. The only evidence we seem to have is the very brief mention in Orlin's book. There is a Mehitable born in Westborough, but she seems still to be living unmarried in Westborough in 1850; she is also 67.
