Hamilton Fay, Metalurgist at Rand Plant
Ilion- Hamilton L. Fay, 60, of 9 Mauser Pl., died at his
home yesterday.
He was a Metalurgist at the Remington Rand plant. A Veteran of World War I and a Member of the American Legion and had served two terms on the board of education and was active in Masonry in the Ilion area.
Born Nov. 7, 1890, in Ilion, he was the son of Harrison C. and Sarah E. Steele Fay. He had been
a resident of Ilion all his life. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and Colgate University, class of '15.
He married Joanne Burrill in Ilion May 31, 1919.
Fay was a member of the Baptist Church, where he had served as trustee, and Ilion Lodge 591 F&AM of which he at one time had been secretary. He was a member of the Iroquois Chapter RAM and the Remington Rand Foremans Club.
Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Worthington, Woodbury, N.J.; a son, Burrill, Ilion; his mother and four brothers, Stuart, Alvin, Frederick, all of Ilion; and Leslie, Sarasota, Fla.
The funeral will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Whiter Funeral Home. The Rev. Stanley Thomson will officiate. Burial will be in Armory Hill Cemetery.

FUNERAL HELD
Ilion--Funeral services were held this afternoon from the Whiter Funeral Home for Hamilton L. Fay, 60, of 9 Mauser Pl., who died at his home, Dec. 23, 1950.
Mr. Fay was a metallurgist at the Remington Rand plant. A veteran of World War I and a member of the American Legion, he had served two terms on the board of education and was active in Masonry in the Ilion area.
He was born Nov. 7, 1890, in Ilion, a son of Harrison C. and Sarah E. Steele Fay. He had been a resident of Ilion all his life. He was a graduate of Ilion High School and Colgate University, class of '15.
