COLONIE -- Harry J. Palady, 74, of Colonie, died suddenly on Thursday, May 31, 2001, at his residence. Mr. Palady was born in Williston, VT to the late Frank and Margaret Goodell Palady. He was a Colonie resident for over 40 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving his country during World War II. Harry worked for many years as a subcontracting drywall/taper in the northeast. Mr. Palady was a life member of the V.F.W. Post 8692 in Colonie. He recently joined the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post #1520 in Colonie. Harry is the husband of Carrie Fay Palady; father of Patricia Lemire and her husband, Ray of Latham and the late Michael Palady; and grandfather of Wayne and Robert Lemire. Several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be Monday morning at 8:15 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to the Church of St. Clare at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Saratoga National Cemetery. At the request of the family and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Robert L. Weininger Memorial V.F.W. Post #8692, P.O. Box 12083, Albany, NY 12212 or the Joseph E. Zaloga American Legion Post #1520, 4 Everett Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Harry J. Palady.
