MOUNT MORRIS - Floyd Russel Fay, 81, of 420 Barbara St., Mount Morris, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008, at KSB Hospital. He was employed by Kable Printing Co., Mount Morris, as a gravure pressman, roto press room, for 32 years, retiring in December 1990.

Floyd was born Nov. 24, 1926, in Davenport, Iowa, the son of Harry and Violet (Paterson) Fay. He was a 1944 graduate of Woodhull High School and attended the University of Illinois, Galesburg Campus. Floyd served in the Merchant Marines during World War II and in the Army during the Korean War. He married Barbara J. Pisman on May 15, 1954, in Moline. Floyd was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, where he was the building and grounds commissioner; Third Degree Knights of Columbus Oregon Council 1092; life member of Oregon Veterans of Foreign Wars; Mount Morris Moose Lodge 1551, Ogle County Democrats; Graphic Arts International Union Local 124; and was a Free Mason. He also was a Freemason. Floyd was an avid Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

| Survivors include his wife, Barb; four sons, Mike Fay, of Mount Morris, Larry (Marty) Fay, of Oregon, Terry (Teresa) Fay, of Ruby, Mo., and Mark (Deb) Fay, of Dixon; three daughters, Kay Ann (Tim) Teeter, of Carpentersville, Paula (Jeff) Blackburn, of Oregon, and Rebecca (Joel) Sweeney, of Mount Morris; brother, Harry Richard (Mary) Fay, of Rock Island; sister, Marilyn Yerkey, of Woodhull; 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. |

| He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Elaine Carlson. |

| The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Oregon, with the Rev. Richard R. Kramer, pastor, officiating. Burial is at St. Mary Cemetery, Oregon. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Finch Funeral Home, Mount Morris. |
