| PORTAGE � Donald E. Fay, 85, of Portage, formerly of Elgin, Ill., passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2007. |

| He was born July 4, 1921, in McHenry, Ill., and was the son of Harry and Elsie Howe Fay. Donald graduated from Elgin High School in 1940. He was a veteran and served in the Army Air Corps from 1940-1946. Donald had worked at ITW-Shakeproof and Buildex divisions for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1990. He was a charter member of Elgin Bible Church. |

| Survivors include his wife, Lois (Robbins), whom he married Nov. 23, 1946; his three children, John (Lori) Fay of Beloit, Diane (John) Bailey and Donna Lamkin, both of Elgin; five grandchildren, Andrew and Aimee Fay, Ryan and Justin Bailey, and Benjamin Lamkin; and one great-grandchild, Eliora Fay. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, James A. Fay in 1967; his two brothers, Elmer in infancy and Harris Fay; and two sisters, Kathryn Walker and Ruth Pace. |

| Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Elgin Bible Church, 1580 E. Chicago St., Elgin. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church. Memorials may be made to Elgin Bible Church or Grace Bible Church, Portage. |
